About Baptism

Baptism is a public declaration that reveals a personal experience with Jesus and the desire to surrender everything to Him. It's a step of obedience that follows repentance of sin and faith in Christ's saving work. It's an outward expression of an inward reality, a visible sign of the invisible, amazing grace of God.

What Does Baptism Symbolize?

Christ's Burial and Resurrection. Colossians 2:12

My Trust in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Romans 10:9

My New Life as a Christian. Romans 6:4, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Ephesians 2:8-9.

Baptism doesn't make you a believer - it shows that you already believe. Baptism doesn’t "save" you because you are saved by grace through faith in Christ. Baptism is like a wedding ring - it’s the outward symbol of the commitment you make in your heart.

Why Be Baptized?

To follow the example of Jesus. Matthew 3:13-15

To obey the command of Jesus. Matthew 28:19

To express our faith in Jesus. Matthew 10:32-33

Who Should Be Baptized?

Every person who has trusted their life to Christ. Acts 2:41

Baptism Class for Adults

For adults interested in being baptized, attendance at a Baptism Class is a prerequisite. Adult class dates are:
